Job Description:
The Department of Languages and Literatures at Ashland University () invites applications for a Non-Tenure Track Assistant Professor of English, and Director of the Master of Fine Arts ( MFA ) in Creative Writing. Housed within the College of Arts and Sciences, this position reports directly to the Department Chair. This position is on a 9-month contract with a summer stipend to direct the residency for MFA .
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in first-year composition, upper-level courses for majors in creative writing, and graduate courses as needed. The full-time, in-person faculty position includes twelve (12) credit hours per year of teaching and twelve (12) credits of course release for directing the MFA program. The MFA includes year-round planning and recruiting for a 10-day summer residency on campus; supervision of a part-time assistant; coordination with admissions, marketing, and advising; as well as budgeting and enrollment management for the program.Required Qualifications:
