Job Overview

Centro Woodfired Pizzeria is expanding and launching an exciting new sister brand, and we are looking for an innovative and experienced Corporate Chef to lead the culinary development of this new venture. Responsibilities:

  • Concept Development: Collaborate with ownership and management to conceptualize and design a distinctive menu that reflects the new brand’s vision, identity, and target market.
  • Menu Creation: Develop and test innovative recipes, ensuring they align with the brand’s culinary style and maintain a balance of flavor, presentation, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Kitchen Design: Work with designers and contractors to create an efficient, state-of-the-art kitchen layout that supports the menu and operational needs of the new brand.
  • Supplier Partnerships: Establish relationships with local and national suppliers to source the highest quality ingredients, ensuring consistency and freshness.
  • Team Building: Recruit, train, and mentor a talented kitchen team capable of executing the new menu to the highest standards.
  • Quality Control: Oversee all aspects of food preparation and presentation, ensuring that every dish meets the brand’s quality and consistency standards.
  • Operational Management: Develop and implement kitchen policies, procedures, and systems to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
  • Budget Management: Monitor food costs, labor expenses, and kitchen supplies to meet financial targets while maintaining quality.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure the kitchen adheres to all health and safety regulations, including sanitation, food handling, and allergen management.
  • Launch Execution: Play a pivotal role in the grand opening of the new brand, ensuring the kitchen operates seamlessly from day one.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek ways to innovate and improve the menu, kitchen processes, and overall guest experience.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef, ideally in a high-volume, high-quality restaurant setting.
  • Expertise in menu development, culinary trends, and kitchen management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse kitchen team.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, food cost control, and inventory management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including management, front-of-house staff, and external partners.
  • A creative mindset with a passion for food innovation and excellence.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
