Job Description
We are excited to welcome a full-time CPA to our dynamic team! In this role, you will play a vital part in preparing and maintaining financial records that track our organization's assets, liabilities, profits and losses, tax obligations, and other related financial activities. Your expertise will support our senior staff in analyzing options and making informed financial decisions aligned with our objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Closures: Support monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and year-end financial closures, including journal entries, balance-sheet reconciliations, accruals, and overall management of operational accounts.
2. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
3. Trend Analysis: Generate reports as requested by senior managers by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
4. Audit Preparation: Prepare necessary documentation for audits.
5. Accounts Assistance: Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
6. Account Reconciliation: Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts.
7. Tax Filing: File tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
8. Asset Management: Maintain a fixed asset listing and complete monthly depreciation entries.
9. Accounting Knowledge: Stay updated on accepted accounting practices and procedures.
10. Vehicle Management: Maintain a schedule of all company vehicles and complete annual tag renewals and title transfers as necessary.
11. Special Projects: Contribute to special projects within the Finance department as requested, along with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting or related field required
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification required
- Experience in audit accounting
- Strong commitment to confidentiality and integrity
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office products
- Experience with QuickBooks preferred
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Full understanding of accounting functions and best practices preferred
- Exceptional organization and time management skills
