About the Role We are looking for a dynamic and creative
Events Marketing Manager to join our Special Events team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing events that showcase Zenni's brand, products, and services. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including brand, marketing, optical product, China procurement and HR, to develop and implement impactful strategies for both internal and external events. Reporting to the Director of Special Events, your work will drive brand awareness, enhance customer engagement, boost sales, and elevate the employee experience, generating excitement around our organization.
This is a hybrid position and expected to be onsite at the Novato, CA office as needed. Responsibilities - Event Planning and Strategy: Develop and execute an events strategy that aligns with Zenni Optical's company goals and brand identity. This includes identifying key industry events, trade shows, and conferences to attend, community activations, and internal company-wide events such as holiday parties and leadership offsites.
- Event Coordination: Develop strategy for each event with recommendations on how to reach the right audience and increase engagement. Manage all aspects of event operations, including venue selection, vendor management, budget planning, contract negotiation, and ensure product needs are identified and set up according to event requirements. Ensure events are executed on time and within budget.
- Creative Development: Work with the creative and brand teams to develop event concepts, themes, and branding materials. Ensure a cohesive and engaging experience for attendees that reflects Zenni's brand values.
- Promotion and Marketing: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing plans to promote events, including digital marketing, social media, email campaigns, and partnerships. Leverage various channels to maximize event attendance and engagement.
- Community Engagement : Build relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and influencers to create partnerships that enhance Zenni's visibility and credibility in the market. Leverage these connections to drive traffic to events.
- On-Site Management : Oversee on-site event setup, registration, operations and logistics. Act as the main point of contact for vendors, partners, and attendees. Ensure a seamless and professional event experience.
- Post-Event Analysis: Analyze event performance, gather feedback, and report on key metrics such as attendance, engagement, and ROI. Use insights to improve future events continuously.
- Team Collaboration : Coordinating with internal teams and vendors to establish the requirements for an event, serving as liaison to senior executives throughout the planning pr
- Others : Keep up to date with industry trends and introduce ideas for new events with ability to work on other ad hoc projects to support the team.
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations/Communications, Event Management, Business, a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in event planning and marketing, preferably in the retail, e-commerce, or tech industry
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors, partners, and team members
- Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and design. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Willingness to travel as needed for events and meetings (primarily in the US/Canada)
Preferred Qualifications - Experience in agile environments and optical product knowledge would be an asset

Compensation In addition to other forms of compensation like perks and benefits, the estimated range for this role is $93,000 - $123,000 USD. The final offer will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skill set, experience, geographical location, market conditions, and other organizational needs. The Company reserves the right to change, modify, or revisit the salary range for various reasons including business needs.
