This is a full-time, permanent opportunity!! A dynamic and growing multi-state commercial and industrial painting contractor is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee the Denver, CO regional office. This leadership role requires a highly skilled individual to manage daily operations, ensure project profitability, and provide support to project management and estimating teams. The ideal candidate will be proactive, with a focus on resource management, team leadership, and business development, while collaborating with the corporate office to meet operational and financial goals. Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of the Denver regional office, ensuring project managers and office staff remain on track to achieve operational and profitability goals. Provide guidance and support to estimating personnel, reviewing estimates to ensure they align with project cost parameters, timelines, and resource allocations. Estimating assistance may be required on an as-needed basis. Review project proposals and plans to assess timeframes, budgets, staffing requirements, and resource distribution for various project phases. Develop work plans and staffing structures for each new project, handling recruitment or assignment of personnel when necessary, especially in cases of labor shortages or subcontractor performance issues. Compile and present project reports to senior management, collaborating with project personnel to offer technical advice and resolve issues identified through project updates. Coordinate project activities with relevant regulatory or government agencies, ensuring all compliance requirements are met. Oversee shop personnel and ensure that all company equipment and vehicles are properly maintained, inventoried, and ready for use as needed for regional office projects. Cultivate and maintain business development relationships within the regional office and across other locations, fostering growth opportunities. Work closely with the corporate office to develop and manage the regional office's annual budget, ensuring alignment with financial goals and project targets. General Manager Requirements: 5+ years of management experience within the commercial painting or coatings industry. Proven track record in managing project managers and ensuring project profitability in a multi-state or regional office environment. Strong background in estimating, including reviewing project proposals and ensuring compliance with cost parameters, schedules, and resource allocation.
