Overview of the Product/Technology and what are you trying to accomplish?

• For Opps team the most important thing for the candidate to have is the ability thrive on ambiguity.
• There is a lot to deal with for example:
  • An Engineer on another team or a customer reports an issue.
  • The issue being brought to our team will be unclear of what happened to cause the said issue to begin with.
  • Sometimes Engineers will be given direction on how to fix an issue where that will not be a given on this team.
  • There is no detail instructions, for this person to be successful they should have experience trying find and identify an issue.
• This person will Need to be able to churn fast.
• The intangibles, someone that can embrace ambiguity and own the process.
• Technical standpoint: even more than strong programming ability, strong debugging ability, someone that has experience and track record supporting live services, and running them, even on systems they never worked on. Having the ability to adapt to new systems.
• This person Can speak intelligently about issues they resolved with no clear source of it and found and created direction to find a resolution.

Top Skills :

• Golang (proficient)
  • • GO Routines
    • GO Channels
    • Golang concurrency
• Familiarity with monitoring and altering tooling.
  • • EX: Datadog, Splunk, etc.
• General cloud experience in AWS
  • • TCNA Uses AWS.
    • Can be open to GCP or Azure
• Process logs Experience.
  • • EX: there are 30-40 engineers working on other projects. There is a lot of scope to cover.

Preferred Skills:

• Targeting 3+ years of experience.
  • Depend on the kind of experience they have.
• Someone who is Happy to work on legacy systems.
