About The Position

Are you passionate about ensuring fair labor practices and compliance in the construction industry? Luster National is looking for a Labor Compliance Interviewer to join our team. This is a great opportunity to work independently, engage with construction professionals on-site, and contribute to maintaining ethical labor standards.

In this role, you'll be at the heart of construction compliance—conducting on-site interviews, documenting findings, and helping ensure that labor laws and regulations are upheld. This is a short-term (3 months), part-time (up to 20 hrs/week), hybrid position (e.g., in the field, in the Luster Oakland office, and/or from home) located in Oakland, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site interviews with construction workers to assess labor practices and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Accurately document and report findings in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with site supervisors to coordinate and streamline the interview process.
  • Promptly identify, document, and escalate any non-compliance issues or concerns.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality and integrity in handling all collected data.
  • Stay informed on current labor laws and regulations to ensure accurate compliance assessments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Work, Excel, etc.) and basic computer operations.
  • Must be able to travel to various construction sites and the Luster Oakland office.
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, with a maximum of 20 hours per week.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous education in labor relations, human resources, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in labor compliance, human resources, or a related field.


Compensation Details

The salary range listed for this role is $41k-$83kyr ($20-$40/hr). The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidate’s level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications/licenses that have been obtained, etc. #IN-LNJS
