The Avera Behavioral Health ( Adolescent & Child Unit are designed to be a structured and age-appropriate therapeutic environment for adolescents and children to learn to understand problems, use healthy coping skills and set and complete goals.

**Job Summary**
The Department of Nursing at Avera McKennan endorses Standards of Care that require all nurses to practice at a competent level of nursing care and demonstrate a competent and professional level of behavior in their role as an LPN. The nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for their individual actions and outcomes of patient care delivered on their shift. The LPN may assist with nursing duties on any of the inpatient units at BHS.
**Education and/or Experience**
+ Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.
**Licensure/Certification/Registration**
+ Licensed as a LPN in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure required.
**Work Schedule**
+ Day/Evening/Night Shift, e/o wknd/hol; 72hrs/2wks
**Pay**
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
+ $22.75 - $31.50 per hour
