About the Role

HerMD is seeking an experienced Business Manager to manage and oversee the business operations of the practice in Cincinnati, Ohio!

From gynecology and menopause to sexual medicine and medical aesthetics, our female-focused centers provide a safe, trusted space for women to address all of their healthcare needs, no matter how personal. Responsibilities

The Business Manager is responsible for day to day operation of the practice with guidance and oversight from practice physician(s).

  • Hiring and Onboarding
    • Screen & interview candidates for job openings
    • Manage new employee onboarding and training
    • Provide training and educational material for team members
  • Corporate Point of Contact
    • The Business Manager will act as liaison between the practice and HerMD Corporate (Human Resources, Marketing, Coding and Provider Education and Compliance, Applications Support (PM), Billing, Operations, Finance, Information Systems, Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Executive Team
  • Employee Management
    • Responsible for managing all non-clinical staff members, as well as MAs and Aesthetic team members
    • Responsible for creating non-clinical staff schedules; provides feedback to staff to enhance work processes and promote employee understanding; supervises payroll function
    • Oversee staff performance and conduct yearly performance reviews
  • Revenue and Expense Management
    • Responsible for hitting practice goals with respect to revenue, operating income, and capacity / utilization
    • Manage practice Profit & Loss
    • Develop and execute strategies to cross over patients from Gynecology to Aesthetics
  • Operations
    • Responsible for day to day operations of the practice and delivering on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
    • Establishing, updating, and implementing practice goals and objectives consistent with the practice physician and HerMD's directives
    • Oversee inventory management
  • Community Outreach and Business Development
    • Manage community relationships and field marketing efforts
    • Generate new leads within market
    • Manage and attend events within the practice and community
  • Communication
    • The Business Manager will develop and support a clear communication plan to ensure the timely and effective flow of information and resolution of patient concerns and complaints (with assistance from the Privacy and Compliance Officer)
  • Patient Relations
    • The Business Manager will handle patient complaints and concerns, maintain updated medical records of patients and ensure legal obligations are met at all times
  • Compliance
    • Administration of HerMD and Practice Policies, Procedures and Protocols
  • Special Projects
    • Undertakes other duties and special projects, as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience working in a managerial position in a clinical or medical setting
  • Strong understanding of healthcare administration and management
  • Experience with administrative software for healthcare systems (Experience with ModMed is preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service with a client focus
  • Flexible to work weekends and overtime where required
  • Able to travel to meetings and to attend conferences as necessary
  • Able to sit, stand and move around for long hours at a time
