Job Title: Purchasing Assistant

Location: Carlstadt, New Jersey

Job Type : Full Time, In-Person

Job Hours: 8:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Purchasing Assistant located in Carlstadt, NJ at Athra. The Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for managing purchasing processes, handling purchase orders, and facilitating communication with vendors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing Processes and Procurement skills
• Experience with Purchase Orders
• Understanding of purchasing policies, contracts, and supply chain principles
• Meeting deadlines for orders and inventory needs
• Evaluating price comparisons and supplier options
• Communicating with vendors to get the best deals
•  Liaising between departments, suppliers, and management

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members.
• Proven experience in purchasing or a similar role.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Typing and Computer Literacy skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Organizational skills and time management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data entry software.
• Experience in the jewelry or fashion industry is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
