Job Description:This position is eligible for a $10,000 Sign-On bonus!Northwest Wisconsin Cancer Center (NWCC) of Memorial Medical Center, in collaboration with Essentia Health, offers comprehensive cancer care including the very latest in treatments and technology. It allows area cancer patients to receive the same services provided at larger, regional cancer centers right here in Ashland. NWCC provides expert cancer care by providing both Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology treatments.From utilizing the latest treatments to supportive therapies in a comfortable space, your care is focused around you. The NWCC is built around creating the most comfortable patient experience possible. Treatment couches offer heat and massage options. Local artwork showcases the natural beauty of our region. A nourishment area provides food and beverages for patients undergoing long treatments. And, patient areas always have extra room to ensure families can stay with their loved ones during this difficult time.The radiation oncology department houses a state-of-the-art Varian™ TrueBeam™ Linear Accelerator and a 4D-capable CT scanner. Together, these allow for the provision of advanced radiation therapy techniques including:Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT)Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)Stereotactic Radio Surgery (SRS)Motion Management (Gated treatment and deep inspiration breath hold)In this role you will get to:Performs a variety of technical procedures involving the use of high-energy radiation producing equipment. Responsible for administering, simulating and recording radiation treatments to patients of all ages as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist while maintaining confidentiality. Education Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an approved radiation therapist program.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:Ability to be ARRT certified within 90 days OR ARRT ccertification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire.
If hired after 1989, must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, registered in Radiation Therapy.
Valid state credentialing, if applicable.
Current CPR certification.
