Gray & Gray and Associates, CPAs, P.C. is seeking an experienced, energetic and conscientious professional to assist with the preparation and review of personal and business income tax returns, as well as tax advisory services. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention for detail, be able to multi-task and work well independently and in a team environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Prepare and review individual and business income tax returns
• Provide tax advisory consultations and proactively suggest tax savings strategy to current and prospective clients
• Perform tax research where appropriate
• Perform all work in compliance with the firm’s policies and procedures
• Maintain technical tax skills through continuing professional education, on the job training and participation in internal tax training sessions
• Preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP, OCBA, etc.
• Communicate directly with client when appropriate
• Other duties as assigned

Required Experience and Skills:

• Accounting degree, CPA or EA
• 5-7+ years tax experience
• Knowledge of accounting concepts involved in tax return preparation
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong analytical skills to enable effective decision-making
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision/daily direction from partner or manager
• Solid oral and written communication skills to enable preparation of accurate and detailed supporting tax return schedules, workpapers and research
• Excellent client service orientation with an ability to handle pressure in a positive, professional manner
• Computer skills including spreadsheet programs – proficiency in Thomson Reuters products a plus
• Time and project management skills – ability to meet assigned deadlines
• Detail orientated with an ability to multi-task

Compensation is commensurate with education and experience.
