Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to support our team in providing high-quality speech and language therapy services. The SLPA will work under the supervision of licensed Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) to assist in the assessment and treatment of clients with communication and swallowing disorders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist SLPs in implementing treatment plans for individuals with speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Conduct therapy sessions, including individual and group activities, as directed by the supervising SLP.
  • Prepare and organize therapy materials and equipment.
  • Monitor and document client progress and report findings to the supervising SLP.
  • Assist with screenings and evaluations as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to support client needs and goals.
  • Participate in team meetings, staff training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions.


Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or equivalent in Speech Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (if applicable).
  • Experience working with individuals with speech and language disorders is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and documentation practices.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to engage in physical activities such as lifting and moving therapy equipment.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
