Job Description

Object: To apply knowledge of stage equipment, performance lighting, theatre seating using problem-solving, coordination, drafting skills, and common sense to the firm’s projects, in support of and in collaboration with other staff members, as directed by the firm’s leadership.

Tasks: Include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing stage machinery, performance lighting, and theatre seating drawings in Autodesk Revit
  • Extensive use of Microsoft suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
  • Preparation of Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Documents drawings under supervision of other staff members
  • Development, integration, and coordination of details of specialized theatrical construction
  • Some written correspondence

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in theatre or architecture, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Practicable experience in technical theatre
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Computer software skills: Microsoft Excel, Word. Experience with Computer Aided Drafting required. Familiarity with Autodesk AutoCAD preferred; Autodesk Revit proficiency a huge plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a deadline driven environment
