This new Supervisor Laboratory Blood Bank MT MLS MLT role was created to support the Manager of Clinical Laboratory, who came on board this year. The Supervisor Laboratory Blood Bank MT MLS MLT will oversee a relatively inexperienced group of Blood Bankers and act as their mentor and primary resource. The Supervisor Laboratory Blood Bank MT MLS MLT will also collaborate with the Director of Laboratory Services and communicate with Physicians and Nurses. The Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the testing of biological specimens and reviewing test results and quality assessment data. This position is also responsible for providing skilled technical oversight in the laboratory. The Blood Bank Supervisor serves as the primary on-site supervisor in regard to developing, maintaining and administering Transfusion Service policies, processes and procedures.
