About This Role 

The Community Service Officer is a non-sworn, entry-level position supporting law enforcement operations. This role involves enforcing parking regulations, investigating non-injury traffic accidents, conducting follow-up crime investigations, assisting citizens, managing digital evidence, and supporting sworn officers with administrative and field duties. Minimum Qualifications 

• Education: High school diploma or GED. College coursework in law enforcement, criminal justice, or related fields is preferred. 

• Experience: Previous experience in a municipal police department or similar field is preferred. 

• License: Valid California Class C driver’s license. 

• Background: Must pass an extensive background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks. 

Working Conditions 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in the office to moderately noisy in the field.?
