Position: School Psychologist - Part-Time
COMPENSATION: Pays up to $70 per hour
School Psychologist will be responsible for working with scholars in grades K-8 at their assigned campus primarily focusing on assessing and identifying scholars that are eligible for specialized services, or gifted and talented support. They will also assist school teams with their response to intervention (RTI) process. The school psychologist will also have the opportunity to collaborate with other service providers and student services team members to ensure a high quality of continuum services are available to all scholars and their families. In this role it is important to have a commitment to our scholars' success and have a clear understanding of students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development influence, well-being and how this impacts academic success.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsibilities of the School Psychologist include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Manage and coordinate initial student referrals for specialized services, including gifted and talented services
• Administer academic, cognitive, social-emotional and functional assessments to students K-8 grade for assigned campus.
• Schedule Evaluation Team Meetings with applicable school staff and family members
• Complete initial and triennial Evaluation Team Reports (ETRs)
• Request, organize and transfer scholars specialized services paperwork (ETRs, IEPs, FBAs, BIPs, etc)
• Assist with the development of FBAs and BIPs
• Coordinate with outside service providers such as; social workers, case workers, or family therapists
• Analyze scholar academic and behavioral data
• Consult with school-based teams regarding RtI frameworks
• Evaluation and Counseling high risk scholars
• Knowledge of universal screening in social-emotional learning and early reading and math literacy preferred
• Communicates accurately and effectively, both written and orally, to individuals, teams, staffs, and communities
• Collaborates with teams, agencies, and colleagues within school system, school community, surrounding cities, and counties
• Promotes academic achievements of scholars
• Some direct / in-direct leadership will be required.
• Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Master’s or Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in school psychology required
Experience:
• Experience working as a school interventionist or psychologist
• Experience working with students with disabilities and students with significant academic and behavioral needs
• Experience working with diverse populations (e.g., socio-economic, academic, special needs)
• Experience working with larger systems (e.g., districts, ESCs, etc.) to effect change for student achievement (academic, behavioral, social, independent living skills) preferred
• Knowledge and application of current research methodology and best practices for academic, social, and behavioral intervention for students with significant needs (both general and special education populations)
Licensure and Certification(s):
Must be a licensed School Psychologist in the state of Ohio
Technical Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals.
• Ability to keep information confidential.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive.
• Thorough understanding of all areas of information systems with a highly technical understanding of at least one commercial HRIS product.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, with speed, precision and accuracy
• Requires working as part of a group to solve issues and problems.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Performs work in an office setting with moderate levels of noise, sitting for long periods of time, repetitive motion using computers and phones, with exposure to fluorescent lighting
